Marybone Student Village is located in the heart of Liverpool, adjacent to John Moores University Library and Resource Centre and a few minutes鈥� walk from Byrom Street University buildings. The accommodation is located in three adjacent buildings with a total of 817 rooms available.

Marybone One accommodation features standard bedrooms in flats for four, five or six people. There are wash facilities in every bedroom and the six bedroom flats have two bathrooms. Each flat offers a shared kitchen/lounge and bathroom facilities. Money matters

You are required to make a 拢1 advanced rent prepayment at the time of accepting your offer. The advanced rent prepayment is credited towards the first instalment of your rent.

Instalments
You can pay your rent in various instalments. The dates of your instalments are detailed in your accepted contract.

Room types

We have a variety of tenancy lengths available and you can pay in 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, or 11 instalments depending on your chosen contract length. The option for 4 and 11 instalments is only available on 50 week contracts.

Our flexible cancellation option聽allows you to cancel up to and including 45 days before the start of your tenancy.

Double En-Suite

Our rooms have a comfy small double bed, useful study space, a private en-suite so you can sing in the shower to your hearts content and storage space.

We know it鈥檚 important to stay connected during your time at uni, so we have building wide Wi-Fi and an Ethernet broadband service which are included in your rent. The connection is reliable and secure and is suitable for both your academic and personal needs.

Moving day

We want moving day to go as smoothly and hassle free as you do without any delays. We will send you an email with everything you need to know about moving day two weeks before.

Remember: Upload your Guarantor Deed, proof of address聽and two passport sized photos of yourself before moving day.

Checking in

Head to reception at the front of the building to collect your keys. Make sure you bring photographic ID with you (driving license or passport).

We know things don鈥檛 always go to plan, so if you鈥檙e running late, let us know so we can arrange for your keys to be left with the security guard. Keys are safely locked away overnight so we won鈥檛 be able to do this unless we know in advance.

Parking and Luggage

Unfortunately, we don鈥檛 have any parking facilities on-site. However, you鈥檒l have 20 minutes to unload your luggage just outside the accommodation. After that, please use one of the local car parks, so others can do the same.

It鈥檚 best to collect your keys before you start to unload the car in case you need to wait for your keys.

Cancellations

We hope you are as excited as we are about your stay with us and won鈥檛 need to cancel your room鈥� But we know unexpected things can happen from time to time.

So, if you do need to cancel your contract:

Up to and including 45 days before the start of your tenancy
You can cancel at any time during this period, but there will be a reasonable administration charge.

Within 45 days of your contract start date
During the last 45 days before the start of your tenancy 鈥� you will only be able to cancel the contract if a suitable replacement tenant is found to take your place. Either you can find a suitable replacement tenant yourself, or we can find one for you. However, if it is left to us, we will only do this after all our other rooms have been let. In either case, there will be a reasonable administration charge.

Note: If no replacement tenant is found, you will be responsible for payment of the rent in full, even if you do not move into the property.

Cancellations/Refunds
Let us know as soon as possible if you decide to cancel the contract. Any cancellations will need to be made to your on-site team in writing. If you are entitled to a refund, these are normally processed within 14 working days.

Rebookers
If you have any outstanding fees from a previous stay with us, we may withdraw an offer of accommodation or cancel a contract.

TV Licence

If you are bringing a TV to watch live TV, or if you receive or record live TV programmes on any other device, such as a laptop, you will need a TV Licence. You won鈥檛 be covered by your parents鈥� licence.

Our TV licences only cover the TVs that we provide, for example in common rooms and lounge areas.

The TV licensing authorities recognise that most students do not need the final three months of a TV licence as you leave the accommodation during the summer. You may be able to receive a refund for this period, provided that you don鈥檛 need your licence again before it expires.

If you do not have a TV Licence but you receive or record live TV you could face prosecution from the TV Licensing Authority.

Laundry

Marybone 1 now benefits from LaundryView which will make doing your laundry on-site even easier. The system, created by Circuit, allows you to go online and check the availability of washers and dryers in your building as well as see when other washes are about to end.聽

Circuit also offer laundry top-up cards which allow you to pay for your washing and drying in advance by paying online or using one of the on-site machines. You can then use your card to pay for washing and drying as well as top-up your card straight from your mobile phone using the Circuit app.

Do you provide insurance?

Basic Cover Explained

Your possessions, desktop and laptop computer equipment are insured for theft, fire, flood, burst pipes, storm, vandalism, explosion and lightning. Cover applies within your accommodation, in any temporary residence and in transit at the beginning and end of each term.
